This is all on my brothers 93 f350 with the banks turbo.
Earlier I was cleaning out my truck when my brother started his truck it made sorta a pop noise then immediately started leaking coolant.
Maybe a few weeks or month after we put that engine in (from my 88) it was using some coolant. But it was leaking around the cap neck, so I soldered it good. Then it was still using coolant, but we hadn't tracked down the culprit yet.
One thing to note is the coolant always seemed to be foamy.
It didn't die, I had him shut it down right when I saw the coolant.
And it's been ran with the pink fleetcharge since the engine went in.
It was dark so I couldn't really see where the coolant was actually coming from, but seemed to be rear left (drivers side) of block.
Slowly day by day it'll be torn down to see the problem.
If the engine is toast, you will be seeing a swap thread. Not just R&R.
If it's just the headgasket, it'll be replaced with the addition of studs.
He likes my PSD (As I do also
) so that's first engine choice. (Bolt in affair and I know I could do the swap pretty quickly)
If one of them C word engines is found cheap, it'll happen. :gasp
Not to sure about the dt route.
It'll need to be up ASAP, as that's his DD.
