Oh boy here I am on the dark sideLOL

So truck in question is a 2002 f250 with a stock gtp38. All it has done to it is a 6 position with custom tunes. This truck tows a three horse trailer with a big living quarters all over the country, it has 140k and a lady driving it. From what she describes to me it sounds like the typical turbo wheel surge that these 99-03 turbos were known for.

So looking into some upgrades for it and man these psds get pricey fast! I'm thinking about just dropping in an original wicked wheel and calling it good until next year when the truck will most likely get a new turbo and injectors. Is the ww1 worth the time or should I invest more money with a ww2 even though this turbo is temporary?
Thanks fellas!

I would go WW2. But if going to a different turbo later, just a junkyard obs wheel.

That's what I'm thinking. What is the safe operating range for these turbos? I've read a few threads were guys are pushing 40+ with a ww2 but some are saying 32 is about all you want to push it to. Does this sound about right?

Roughly. Don't worry about out running the turbo, you won't do that without bigger injectors. Lol
A good drop in turbo would be the KC66. Still somewhat new, but cheaper than going the t4 route.
