What trans does it have... If its an auto it will be the C6. Wipe off the aux trans lable and copy down the model number. Give GearVendors a call. They can tell you what you have. It might be another type of aux gear too. I can't recall the name of it at time time and its no longer a buyable trans plus... No parts offered... Really nice looking rig too. Welcome to the fold here. Please ask questions before turning wrenches. Collectively this forum has done and heard everything that has ever happened to these trucks and engines. So we know how to help you fix what may be a problem...

Hmm. The stalling issue seems like it could be an IP problem. Or a really really clogged fuel filter. Start making a check list of the things that are working to narrow down your issue. You may need to start a new thread and/or review similar issues with other people's rigs here on oilburners. Reading is very important. You will soon know your truck from the inside out after you read other threads. Welcome to the site and nice truck

Also.....try not to idle these engines for an extended period of time. I have heard/seen the horror stories about doing this. It will wash cylinder walls with diesel fuel and cause a lack of lubrication to occur because there is not enough heat in the cylinder to efficiently burn all fuel...which is why there is a high idle solenoid on IP. Diesel engines will not warm up at idle especially when outside temps are low. 1200+ rpm is needed to properly warm up engine. Just thought I would add this....and I wish I had that truck ;Sweet.
