I got this truck from my mom but it was forgotten for ten years it had been towed away and we figured it was gone forever then a friend of ours called and said he found a truck on a property that he was recycling metal from so my brother went and got it then it sat for another five years then one day my mom called and said it was going to be towed for sitting and I decided to make it mine batteries cables starter bearing seals manual hubs injector rebuild kit and all filters we have a running truck

Welcome to the forum. These trucks and especially the engines are VERY hard to kill. This forum mostly finds the biggest killer of these rigs is salted roads of some foll running into them.

I replaced the batteries, cables, starter bearing seals, manual hubs, did an injector rebuild kit and all filters.
Now we have a running truck ladies and gentlemen!

Pull the glowplugs before you turn it over. I can almost guarantee there’s water in the cylinders from sitting that long, the washer on the intake for sure isn’t sealing and the cowl seal is probably wasted. This has been the death of many na IDIs.
