Looking to get a feeler to see if anyone would be interested in this truck as a whole or parts.

200k XLT Monochromatic paint
rust wheel wells, 4 new tires
Former work truck so it has small dents and scratches

BAD HEAD GASKETS

let me know if you guys have any interest in it

Sold my boat.. so don't need an anchor... IMHO the only good use for a 6.0 engine.

Agreed but no reason to mess up a for sale thread..

Ya i to wanted to make fun on the 6.0 aswell, but good luck with your sale/part out.. If you part it i want dibs on the 6.0 powercrap, with a proper buildup they are good engines..

That is a nice looking truck even for the miles.... I would say at 375,000 if those are the factory headgaskets, they lived a good long life!!! I would throw a set of gaskets in it and run it another 375k.....

Once thing I do see, that is not the correct lid for the oil filter housing. The factory one had the "dimples" around the edge for a filter wrench, and is a more domed shape... that probally came with an aftermarket filter (alot like some do on the 7.3 fuel bowl). I would get the proper cap and put an IH/MC/Ford/Fram (all 4 are made by RACOR and identical filters(one rare case the a Fram is actually acceptable)) back on it....... other that that, it looks good.

Also if you do repair it.... if it does not have the replacement or TSB decal on the degas bottle, do not fill it to the full mark, I keep mine and the min mark..... with it to full, in normal operation, the coolant expands enought to spew out the bottle......

Not to shabby for 375,000 miles. Definatly worth good money for parts, or to fix for somebody who wants a 2wd truck..

I retract my "boat anchor" statement.. at 375.000 miles it's been a good one.
Not a bad looking truck, especially for having 375K on it.

BTW... is anyone else getting problems with www.oilburners.net ? All day I haven't been able to open the link. Problems with server somewhere? Gives me a screen that has the message to open another link or something like that, but no access to the site.
