My neighbors 02 E-250 van keeps eating fan switches. The dealership has replaced everything from the fuse back and it still is eating a switch every 6-7 months.
Any ideas?

they do at work as well. (E-450s, same deal...especially in the winter) is the fan being used often? they heat up and burn the harness and ultimatly cook the switch. its just a bad design on Fords part.
are they replacing the harness and connector as well?

Neighbors van is still eating switches. I did learn that the resistor pack has been canged but the dealership hasn't replaced the harness.
My neighbor informed me that they cannot fix the problem as advised from Ford due to warranty recall avoidance.
BS? Yes.
He's at the point of a class action suit against the dealership as they continue to throw parts at it and will not warranty the work or properly fix it.
They will not even replace the harness behind the switch even with it being burnt.
