1993 Ford F-350 regular cab long box with an international 7.3L IDI turbo diesel engine, 5 speed manual ,4X4, dana 60 axle's 6" skyjacker suspension lift
182xxxkm, Ok so now a list of what i've done to this truck:
-35" Dick...
So i can put the hubs in the free position but they don't seem to disengage. When i spin, try to spin the front drive shaft it moves a bit then locks up, WTF??? Are the hubs just shot or is there a bigger problem??? The drive shaft should spine freely when there in the free position correct...
Straight pipe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the stock down pipe connected to a 4.5" stack probally about 4 feet of it and it sounds sweet. At idle you can hear the turbo alot when you step on it it's tech sex. Mufflers and what not are over rated imo.
not getting much higher exhaust temps then before screwing it in 100+ degrees, so i'm burning all my fuel up, i need some more i guess.... moose pump???
So today i finally turned up the fuel screw maxed it out. now i see about 9.5 pounds of boost before 8.5 pounds of boost. When i rebuilt the turbo i bench tested it for 11 pounds before the wastegate comes on. barely any black smoke just a small puff under load going up a hill. Do i need...
I made on for my self with some 3" exhaust pipe & 1 silicone adapter AFE air filter the hardest part was welding a little support bracket as seen in the pics not painted ford blue. Nedd the bracket though so it doesn't rub on a fuel line. Check it out...
Some say he's good but the majority seem to not like his products.........hum. just looking for a bit more power out of the truck i'm commited to puttting on a single stack right now as i have a down pipe for an exhaust system right now just looking for a 3"to 4.5" adapter to complete the...
Yeah so i'm looking at some new injectors for the hoss called dps today they seem super reasonable at $288 for new injectors wondering whop has these installed and what kind of gains you got?? Also who else makes injectors for the idi's??
Yeah forgot to take that bracket out but i have some more paint left over, but no sandblaster now so not really a priority at the moment. Next is to turn up the fuel.
So here is my totally rebuilt turbo painted in ford blue along with the air intake pipe 3" flared at the end to accept on afe filter. New bearings and all that on the turbo, the waste gate was set in the shop at 11 psi but i still only get just above 9 on the road will try turning it up some...
Does some body have a write up on adjusting the waste gate on a stock turbo??? Now that i got some gauges in the truck would like to turn it up to say 12 ish pounds? That's about max eh for a stock engine?
Got some gauges today and need to get them in. Pyro seems simple enough, just going to go after the turbo. But where do you put the hose for the boost gauge???
How do you cahange that rod that comes out of the clutch master cylinder??? Replaced the lever that clips in to the rod yesterday but want to change the rod now, Cant see you just pulling it out??
yes all boost all the time is fun but i reconected the hose until i get a pyro and boost gauge in there so i have some idea of what's going on in my engine.
looked at my down pipe today doesn't look loke some one ran over it but there is a small section between firewall and tranny that is "crimped" 3/4 of an inch is this stock or is stock totaly crushed??
"Finished" my intake today will post a couple of pics later, consistof a 3.5 inch 90 right of the turbo flex coupler then 2.5 feet ish of pipe on an AFE filter. Right now it's a hot air intake but will be fixing that soon enough. Stock down pipe looks like what compared to an ats one??
So i unhooked the wastgate vacum line?? thing from the turbo and now she snorts so much better!!! Is there a way to dial it back some with out unhooking it all togher??? How bad is this for my turbo's life do ya figure? Thanks
Super lift springs...................If your looking for a tank like ride then that's what you get, pretty bumpy but whatever. I'm sure a solid front axles are like this. As for the stock intake yeah i'll probally sell it will let you know in a couple of days when my intake is all done...
New to me 93 f-350 4X4 5 speed , 94 turbo engine installed in the truck buy the previous owner. 6 inch super lift riding on 35"S now. going to make an intake today and remove the whole old box. Any sugestions for more power would be nice.
