Looking to sell my project truck. Don't have time for it anymore and I am just going to put the little time I have into my PSD.
88 F250 xlt eclb 4wd
7.3 idi w/hypermax turbo
ZF5
Have new parts that go with it.
$1500 obo
I have a thread on here where I have been asking questions and there...
Ok so thinking... 6 beers in so stand by lol...take the e4od and sell it, take the bed (no rust), gooseneck hitch ( like the one for the psd better) and interior rubber mat (work truck xl) and replace carpet in idi then sell or scrap remaining psd truck?? Any thoughts?
The way I see it build up...
Just talked to the boss if we get the place with 11.5 acres that I'm negotiating for i can keep em both might be the turning poinr

So psd with 300k and auto is still better than the idi with 5speed? I'm so undecided on everything...this is so difficult. I wish I could mix the two. Have 5 speed psd 4wd

I've worked on tractors my whole life but idi is new but doesn't seem as complicated to work on reservation being the body work which I have never done.

I have to make a decision and need help. Since I have my patrol K9 I no longer need a daily driver (take home car) hence why I had two truck so if one breaks down the other is available.
I have to decide between my 88 eclb 4wd idi and 97 eclb 7.3. 2wd.
88 has ZF5 with hypermax turbo kit...
I haven't had any days off recently and my only day off was to go to a funeral in Prince George's County so I haven't messed with it since the muffler shop
So how can you make it so it won't leak? Mine seems very loose. Had the muffler shop add a piece of pipe where the previous owner had flex pipe and they couldn't get it to not leak
Ok I'm kind of confused about how the downpipe for the Hypermax turbo work. This one appears to just sit inside of the exhaust housing and have no way to clamp it or stop it from leaking. On my psd it has a v band clamp. Anyone have pics or can help me with this?
Here are some pics of the rough parts on the body. Guess I will need to learn how to do body work to.
Good news is I driver here about 150 miles after the injector swap and she team great... Even with 2 return caps that were leaving pretty bad.
More to come
Got them installed between last night and today. Starts much better, less smoke while idling (was still cold). Didn't have time for a proper test run, had to go qualify day and low light so took up the rest of my afternoon.
Going to pull the carpet out, drain and fill the trans, do rear brakes...
