With the ridiculous 7" back spacing on the hummer wheels, 2" wheel spacers will get them pushed out enough to avoid tie rod end contact. I have 16.5s, and I have a love-hate relationship with them. The only Offroad tires made in 16.5 are the military take offs or super swampers. I'm not yet tall enough to fit the military 37" tires, and don't want to blow $1500+ on swampers that'll wear quick on the road. That said, if you are lifted and can fit 37" tires and have a source for military take offs, then investing in a set of rims is worth it since those tires are cheap. Otherwise I'd just get a set of 2" wheel spacers and run em til they're worn and go back to a common wheel size.
