Wont start in the morning, water in fuel.

I think I figured it out- My rear tank started leaking pretty good while it was sitting in the driveway. Don't have a lot of time to mess with it right now- between work and school I'm home to sleep and that's about it.

Wont start in the morning, water in fuel.

I put a bottle of ISO HEET in the rear tank and then filled it up. It worked.. kinda. Went to start the truck tonight.. had that nasty knock while cranking but started after a few seconds. No WIF light. Was running pretty rough til it idled for a few minutes. I drove it around and the WIF...

Wont start in the morning, water in fuel.

I have a stock fuel filter. I don't think theyre much of a water seperator. I do have a 12 V pump, Where would be the easiest place to hook it to?

Wont start in the morning, water in fuel.

Draining tanks doesn't sound like much fun. We will see what happens I guess. The methyl hydrate sounds like an interesting try.

Wont start in the morning, water in fuel.

Truck runs fine. One morning it didn't start. The water in fuel light came on. I changed filter and it was fine. Next day, same shit. There was one day in the last week that it started without draining the filter. When I turn the key on, no WIF light. After cranking it comes on. It sputters and...

    Chips for 94-97 PSD

There seems to be a good number of people happy with the wildman chip. While more power is always good, I want better mileage and my tranny to shift earlier under normal driving. Probly look into a chip this summer. I might need new injectors first.

    Chips for 94-97 PSD

I sold my IDI and bought a 96 powerstroke a few weeks ago. I plan on putting some sort of a chip/tune in it, but not entirely sure what yet. I obviously want more power, and some MPG. It's an automatic, and I'd like the trans to shift earlier, it shifts at about 2500 normal driving. Pros and...

New Tech Article by Riot Warrior

I really need to get it in gear and order one before the 1st. I see you have a fall guy logo for an avatar, love that show. His GMC truck is sweet!

    Mama woulda been proud

Sounds like a sweet deal. Any idea why he couldn't get it to run?

    cold starting your truck

I put a different starter on mine, cranks plenty fast, still doesn't start worth a shit. Today it was around 10F. Cycled twice, it sputtered two times then nothing. Cycle again, sputters once and thats it. It will only kick once every time you cycle the plugs. Somehow after probly 10 tries it...

    cold starting your truck

I really need to get my starter switched. Mine won't start as fast as Justins did in the video even when it's 90 degrees out. With temps below 20 lately, it just barely turns when I try to start it, then it gradually speeds up and starts.

    cold starting your truck

Mine starts hard all the time, even at 60 takes a full 10 seconds of cranking. I got told my starter is weak, but I have seen IDI's crank even slower than mine does and still start. If it' below 20 out, good luck. It will start, with 2 10 second cranking cycles. I have a starter I wanted to try...

Rear antilock light keeps coming on

I have owned several ford trucks "our" style. I never once have seen the rear antilock help anything or even work very good, of course I dislike all antilock brakes myself. I'd just take the bulb out, problem solved. I did that on my '91 F150. I'm going to disable the aintilock brakes on my...

    Auto Insurance and our trucks.

Damn, I'm 18, 2 tickets (1 this year and 1 2 yrs ago) and I was paying about $75 a month for liability. Since I can't afford to insure 2 vehicles at this rate, I don't have insurance on the F250 anymore, but the S10 instead, which is still $72. Once I get spring hangers on 250 and snow flies...

    Large firewall plate....now available!

Great. I will be ordering one soon. Looks like somewhat of a PITA to install though.

    Firewall Reinforcement plates POLL!

Yeah. There usually isn't a rust issue inside the cab.

    Firewall Re-inforcement plate

I always assumed they went on the inside, so we will see I guess.

    Firewall Reinforcement plates POLL!

Just curious, about how much more would it be for powder coat? I think I'd shell a bit extra since I plan to keep the truck a long time.

Picked a fight with a 1st gen Cummins.

You may very well be right. None of the 1st gens were exactly Ferrari's;p

    Firewall Re-inforcement plate

Plasma cutters are very versatile machines. I can't wait to get a reinforcement plate. My firewall is so bad I can't drive the truck (can't shift while stopped, engine is lugging when stopped in gear) I never knew the large plate installed on the outside of the firewall, what am I going to have...

    LUND visors

I suppose you lost a slight amount of MPG, but I think it's worth it for the cool look of a visor;Really A properly installed visor will not leak. Back in '79 my Dad put one on his '77 Chevy K10. Never did leak, or cause cab roof to rust. We finally junked the truck last fall because the cab...

Picked a fight with a 1st gen Cummins.

Cummins are a very tough engine. (I don't care for dodge trucks though:puke:) However, they (1st gen) are SLOW in stock form, and the non-intercooled ones- oh god. You might as well have a chevy 6.2LOL They pull a lot better though, a big load doesn't slow em down like it would the 6.2.

Best $100 I've spent this year haha

Nice score! I'm sorta looking for a slide in as well. Some campers will bolt through the box, others use chains attaching to brackets that come off the frame and stick out past the box.
