A quick question....What size tool for rear drive shaft u-joint on 1992 F350?

Hello Everyone, Just wanted to let you folks know I got the driveshaft out, fixed and back in today!!! So what I ended up doing was taking the t45 which would just barely get started in the bolt and drove it in with a 2lb hammer so it was nice and tight in the bolt and then just turned them...

2 tank system on an IDI using FPH's with the stock valve system for WMO?

Thanks for the replies fellas... I had read both of the threads that 79jasper mentions. The ball valve thread is definitely simplicity at it's best. But honestly I don't think I will go that route. I'd like something a little more "elegant" I think even if I have to wait a while to save...

A quick question....What size tool for rear drive shaft u-joint on 1992 F350?

Thanks Folks for the replies. I've checked Harbor Freight, O'Reilly's, Autozone, Snap-On, Craftsman and every other tool site I can think of. I've searched "torx t42 for sale" and went through at least 50 pages. I'm pretty sure at this point a Torx T42 is only a legend....hehehehe I...

2 tank system on an IDI using FPH's with the stock valve system for WMO?

I've been mixing mixing WMO at about 50/50 in my 1992 Ford F350 IDI truck for a long time. It's always ran great and I'm thinking it's time to go to the "next" level. My truck is basically an all stock 2 tank system. So my thought is to use the back tank for basically 100% WMO or something...

A quick question....What size tool for rear drive shaft u-joint on 1992 F350?

Thank you sir for your reply. Unfortunately for me that is not what I have. I did refine my search here on the forum and found a thread that talks about it being a Torx T42. I'm 99.3% sure that's what mine are as a T40 fits loosely and a T45 will just barely start in the bolt. The bad news...

A quick question....What size tool for rear drive shaft u-joint on 1992 F350?

Thank you for info and link. I'm pretty sure it's a 70 but heck I'm no expert for sure. lol But I was told the 60 joints were the same also. I just wasn't even sure what they were called.

A quick question....What size tool for rear drive shaft u-joint on 1992 F350?

Hello Everyone... I'm broke down and need to pull the rear driveshaft on my 1992 F350 4x4 CC to replace the carrier bearing. I've tried everything in my toolbox but I can't find a torx or allen wrench to fit the bolts. Can someone tell me what size it is? I'm assuming it's a torx head and...

R134A Schrader Valve? Do I remove the old one for a conversion?

Thanksfor all the replies. I just put on a new compressor and had never put on the adapters. Probably had them 6 years I guess. So I screwed them on but the system wouldn't take any freon. The low side adapter had a schrader valve in it. I bet that I need to take the old one out.

R134A Schrader Valve? Do I remove the old one for a conversion?

Hello Everyone, I've searched here and Google but can't find the answer. I got one of the cheap conversion kits from Advance to convert my truck from r12 to r134a. The instructions were pretty vague. So my question is this: Do I need to remove the schaeder valves from the factory r12...

How about a SBC oil pump as a WMO fuel pump? Is it feasiable? Thoughts and Ideas?

Well that's a good question. First of all, just cause I like to build stuff. I love to tinker and make crap just because I can. And then sometimes it might save money. Other times to make something better than is currently available. Second...I believe this could be a very reliable...

How about a SBC oil pump as a WMO fuel pump? Is it feasiable? Thoughts and Ideas?

Thanks for your reply. I too use sbc pumps to move oil around my drums. I should have made my post clearer and I apologize for that. What I'm talking about is using a sbc pump as a vehicle fuel pump. IE..on the vehicle in the tank to pump fuel to the IP...sorry for the confusion.. Greg...

How about a SBC oil pump as a WMO fuel pump? Is it feasiable? Thoughts and Ideas?

Just thinking out loud a little.... What about using a small block Chevy oil pump as a fuel pump? There are a couple of obvious problems with this... 1) they seep oil around the shaft. 2) it will make a lot of pressure 3) how do we power it? Here are my thoughts. Please feel free...

I wanted to give you a big THANK YOU... I got the hubs today and will get them in tomorrow. That was very generous of you and I can't Thank You enough. It's a good thing to help out a buddy. It's an even better thing to help a complete stranger. And that, in my humble opinion, speaks a...

    Straight piping my truck??

I've got straight pipe into a 6" stack in the bed. At idle it's hardly noticeable. Driving at about 55mph it sounds good outside but ain't too bad into the cab. Under hard acceleration it's very loud to the point you couldn't carry on a conversation... But I like it that loud and it suits...

Another Order Placed With Oregon Fuel Injection

Fedex sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Our Fedex people are so bad that now I won't order from anywhere that ships Fedex. I've complained to Fedex to no avail. The problem is IMHO is that Fedex ground is delivered by private contractors. The quicker they get done the more money they...

    Has the forum been hacked....

It's probably not necessarily a virus, but more like spyware or adware. Do you run anything like Spybot Search and Destroy? Might want to try one if you don't. I run Spybot S&D and it's pretty good. Plus it's free which I like. If you don't have it just Google it..... Those spyware are...

Hey Everyone, Again, Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate everyone's help. As I stated earlier I know I can replace my hubs with manuals but I just can't afford that till spring. So after much more research (about 8 hrs total) I finally found an exploded parts diagram of the hubs: I...

Please help me fix my 4WD....

Thanks for all the quick replies. As I said before, I just can't afford to sink the money in the manual hubs right now. That's why I was hoping someone could point me to a supplier of the parts. But then again, someone stated above that it could not be 3WD unless it had a locker, and I'm...

Please help me fix my 4WD....

Hey Everyone, I bought this truck about 3 weeks ago and have been fixing a few small things here and there. I went to repack the front wheel hubs with fresh grease. On the passenger side hub there may be some parts missing but I'm not sure. So I need some advice. First the mandatory...

    2wd to 4wd

Thanks for the reply. Now that raises another question. What does TTB stand for. I'm guessing that's the same thing that's on my stock 96' Bronco? And with that in mind I might need to look for something with a Dana 60 in it. Later on or maybe during the swap I would like maybe 4"'s of...
