Are you talking about the wires for reverse lights? The zf reverse plug only has two wires and is mechanically activated when the shifter is in reverse. There shouldn't be a need to connect to the MLPS.

On my 83 chassis with a 84 cab it went like this. The chassis was a factory 6.9 t19 now its a turbo 7.3 zf5 and the cab was originally a F250 460 2wd c6, The manual chassis had a factory jump wire plug where the mpls would connect to bypass the neutral safety switch, The automatic cab had a jump wire plug to bypass the clutch safety switch so it has factory bypasses on both ends lol. You will need to figure out how to bypass the neutral safety switch for the auto and you'll need to pull the reverse light plug from the donor truck and figure out which wires to splice that too. Or if the donor truck is still around grab the whole trans harness if its not around find a plug that fits the reverse light switch and look at some wiring diagrams and wire it up with heat shrink butt connectors

I have a 89, but it had a c6. I bought a 89 donor with a zf 5 speed to swap in. It did have a harness that plugged right in. There is a plug below the brake booster. I unplugged that, and took the complete auto harness out that included the transfer case wires also. The hardest part is getting that metal holder loose that holds the harness on top of the frame. Very difficult to get to and get loose on both trucks. Got the harness off the donor truck and it plugged right in to the same plug under the booster. The wiring for the trans and the transfer case plugged right in and it did have the jumper made into it for the start circuit.
