Not a bad way to travel but I don't want to show up in a Cummins at the IDI rally ya dig.

don't let that stop anyone, that is why we wanted to move it to Oilburners. while the IDI crowd was the originators and we still have a good amount of them around they are getting long in the tooth age wise. we really want good people, the trucks are an excuse to get together!

awesome progress, i am keeping this as a template. i know my dash has a couple of broken tabs. i will dig in someday.

Oh it would in no way stop me from attending. Hope I didn't come across that way.

I've just been working hard towards having the 93 ready. I've not finished my interior resto yet that was started in November. Way behind the curve so it's a matter of pride mainly to drive the Ford.

If my GF was coming too the Nissan may have been the vehicle I brought.

Okay so the dash is finally done. Truck has been started and everything works.

It took way more time than it should have but I work a little slow sometimes.

Here are the results.

Tomorrow morning I've got some help and we'll be reinstalling the carpet and the rest of the interior tomorrow.

Then just change the oil and recharge the AC, again. Almost ready to roll.

Rally bound Saturday.

So yesterday turned onto a bit of a big day for me. Got the rest of the interior in that's going in right now. It's been a long time since I started the interior restoration but it's come out well.

Here is a picture of the original carpet as I was tearing things down.

I used a scrubby brush, simple green, elbow grease and a pressure washer on that thing and ended up re-using it.

Here it is installed now.

And with the seats back in place.

So today is an oil change and general once over and we're ready to roll.

I was waiting for you to say that you had replaced that carpet. I was going to joke that "Aw, that'll clean right up"...

Then you cleaned it right up! :)

I ended up replacing my carpet, one of the easiest interior upgrades I've done... would have been more work to get all the stains out than just to replacing it [emoji16]

If you get tired of those comfy bucket seats, I have a factory bench seat that I'll swap you that matches your interior color perfectly. [emoji1787]

Some of the stuff, I'm guessing an adhesive of some sort, is still on the carpet. It scrapes off to some degree so I'll keep working on it here and there.

So it's been a long while as after the rally last July Big Ugly got put in hibernation due to me being busy and just not having time to fool with things.

The rally report I should have written and attached here months ago goes like this.

Excellent performance all week in Tennessee from the truck.

Had a great time with the rally goers and will be there again this year.

Well Friday night, knowing I needed to go out to my new land this past weekend and do things the new truck shouldn't be subjected to yet I went and got the truck out of storage.

After 6 months I turned the key on, cycled the glowplugs once and she fired right up. Man I love this truck.

Yes it's required maintenance, lots of work, and has given me grief a few times but overall there has never been a vehicle in my world that has put up with so much abuse and just doesn't want to quit for some reason.

Might even try and fix the bodywork eventually. Just too solid of a truck that always delivers to let it get any worse. That would be a shame.

When I got mine, it had been sitting for about 2 1/2 years. I cycled the glow plugs and cranked it over. Nothing. Then I did it again and it started up like it had just been parked the day before. They can be quite amazing at times. I may have the body work done to mine someday too. I just have to get the mechanicals (other than the engine) straightened out first.
