Help needed possible ip issues
Well so far no problems, however I still haven't taken it back to work. My dad has been driving it and I have been doing his truck( not complaining since its a 600hp compound turbo 5 speed 12 valve dodge). I'll probably take my truck for a distance test this weekend and see how it goes.- S-west

I replaced the lift pump because that appeared to be the only possible cause. Filter was clear all lines are clear. Fuel was coming out of the shrader fine every time up until it died the first time every day. Afterwords even though you could hear the pump running it wasn't pumping. Filter was...- S-west

It does pull a vaccine in the tank. I have ran a full tank without piping the cap and the metal tank slammed back into shape. However the last time it happened I had the cap off for this reason. Well drove it home from my fathers work and it started to die out a mile from my house, pulled over and it was still running (like hell) no fuel coming out of shrader. Shortly after it died, kept the pump running and still nothing. Waited 15 minutes and started it, took a few seconds of cranking...- S-west

I hope your right. Although this truck spends more time with the hood up then it does on the road, so I have decided to look for a newer truck. I hate to say it but possibly a 6 speed common rail dodge. If I can afford it, I want to keep the truck as a project- S-west

Also seams to not happen, or not happen as quick if I avoid the highway. That's why I started to lean toward some sort of heat soak issue. My water in fuel light has worked in the past and didn't come on at all.- S-west

I don't have a fuel pressure guage on it, but all lines seem fine all of this happened above half a tank, this is my second lift pump and seams to be working fine. I will replace the pre filter when I get home. Pump is about 2 feet from the tank. By the transfer case. I only run my rear tank...- S-west

Ok well it all started on my way into work last Wednesday. Oh I see... It came of freely and slides on it freely but it may have got jammed up? It makes sense as to why it would have broke the bellhousing- S-west

Throw out bearing is brand new and still spins fine, and the piece that goes up against the trans tunnel was flush up against it and it still had to go over about a quarter of an inch, but it's all set now, I'm throwing the 5 speed in there temporarily till I save enough to finish my cummins swap.- S-west

T.o.b is brand new as of last month! And yes I just got 1000 dollars of headwork done to the cummins motor, now all I need is a clutch, adapter plate and motor mounts, but I just had to spend most of my funds on a new to me commuter Don't worry it is a diesel 5 speed- S-west
