    Help needed possible ip issues

Well so far no problems, however I still haven't taken it back to work. My dad has been driving it and I have been doing his truck( not complaining since its a 600hp compound turbo 5 speed 12 valve dodge). I'll probably take my truck for a distance test this weekend and see how it goes.

    Help needed possible ip issues

I replaced the lift pump because that appeared to be the only possible cause. Filter was clear all lines are clear. Fuel was coming out of the shrader fine every time up until it died the first time every day. Afterwords even though you could hear the pump running it wasn't pumping. Filter was...

    Help needed possible ip issues

It does pull a vaccine in the tank. I have ran a full tank without piping the cap and the metal tank slammed back into shape. However the last time it happened I had the cap off for this reason. Still happened, and the time before it was only minutes after filling up. The first time was under...

    Help needed possible ip issues

Well drove it home from my fathers work and it started to die out a mile from my house, pulled over and it was still running (like hell) no fuel coming out of shrader. Shortly after it died, kept the pump running and still nothing. Waited 15 minutes and started it, took a few seconds of cranking...

    Help needed possible ip issues

I hope your right. Although this truck spends more time with the hood up then it does on the road, so I have decided to look for a newer truck. I hate to say it but possibly a 6 speed common rail dodge. If I can afford it, I want to keep the truck as a project

Also seams to not happen, or not happen as quick if I avoid the highway. That's why I started to lean toward some sort of heat soak issue. My water in fuel light has worked in the past and didn't come on at all.

    Help needed possible ip issues

I don't have a fuel pressure guage on it, but all lines seem fine all of this happened above half a tank, this is my second lift pump and seams to be working fine. I will replace the pre filter when I get home. Pump is about 2 feet from the tank. By the transfer case. I only run my rear tank...

It also may be worth adding that up until it starts to sputter it runs perfect, not a miss or nock or sputter.

    Help needed possible ip issues

Ok well it all started on my way into work last Wednesday. It was 7 degrees and about half way in my truck started to sputter and lose power and before long it wouldn't rev past 1,000 rpm then it just died. I automatically assumed the fuel had gelled but after 5 minutes It started and I drove to...

    Clutch master

Ok so I have been feeling with clutch master issues a lot with my truck, 3 cracked plastic ones cracked then I switched to the steel ones then was fine until I did a 5 speed swap and my firewall cracked, after that I installed a reinforcement plate, shortly after the pushrod bent and snapped at...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

Oh I see... It came of freely and slides on it freely but it may have got jammed up? It makes sense as to why it would have broke the bellhousing

    Clutch not disengaging completely

Throw out bearing is brand new and still spins fine, and the piece that goes up against the trans tunnel was flush up against it and it still had to go over about a quarter of an inch, but it's all set now, I'm throwing the 5 speed in there temporarily till I save enough to finish my cummins swap.

    Clutch not disengaging completely

T.o.b is brand new as of last month! And yes I just got 1000 dollars of headwork done to the cummins motor, now all I need is a clutch, adapter plate and motor mounts, but I just had to spend most of my funds on a new to me commuter Don't worry it is a diesel 5 speed

    Clutch not disengaging completely

The plate did in fact fix the problem... For all of about 3 minutes, as this happened about 200 yards up the road from my house...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

Sorry it took so long but here is some pics, excuse the horrible gas less flux buzz box welds. Yes I'm aware I did it quite differently then most, and the angle in the cowl is bolted to the front too just not in the picture, I had to do all that because it was quite rust and thin in that...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

I had to stop working on it today because of the rain, originally I welded it on but because of the thin sheet metal it burnt through in a few spots so pulled the cowl to drill that out and bolt it in there, I'm going to leave the transmission tunnel just welded hopefully I'll be able to finish...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

Ok I was able to get it in, I hammered the crap out of it and had to egg out a few of the bolt holes, I'm now in the process of putting it all back together to see if it in fact solved my issues

Clutch line - is this right?

I had an 84 f150 with the red line, my 86 has black, and I have a steel/braided one but I could not get it in properly so it's not hooked up.

    Clutch not disengaging completely

Yes I did read that, I guess I'll try banging the sheet metal more, mine doesn't seem much farther off than that now that I look at it again.

    Clutch not disengaging completely

I'm not doubting the cab has shifted, but I'm absolutely positive the holes in the firewall can make there way 1/4 inch closer to the trans tunnel, I'm going to cut off that bent tab and re weld it. I also think I'm just going to weld the plate in place instead of bolting it, since I don't see...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

I took a picture and from this angle it looks as though I may be able to hammer the trans tunnel in but this seems a little more than what most people had to do, just to clear up I'm not complaining, all the bolt holes line up perfect, in this picture all the holes are lined up perfect I can't...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

I'll take a picture when I get home from work, and where is the most common point of failure mine appears to be cracked/rusted about a foot long or more directly along the bottom of the cowl where it meets that part of the firewall, my brake booster even moves out noticably when I push in the...

    Clutch not disengaging completely

Ok so I ordered one of the reinforcement plates from conestoga and they got it to me in one day! That was the end of last week, and I finally got around to try doing it today, well the bend on the right side where it bolts to the trans tunnel is off by a quarter of an inch, too far to just dent...

    6.9 to zf.. what clutch?

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that you cannot use a 6.9 flywheel with a zf. In order to do so you would have to have the flywheel re-drilled to accept a zf5 clutch, I think the easiest thing to do is but a zf5 clutch kit with a solid mass flywheel. You cannot use a t19 clutch...
