no thanks to the rapidly disappearing copper/brass heater cores, the newer alu ones are now the norm. and so in the electrolysis that comes with them. Over the weekend, I read about someone putting a ground strap on his. I filed it away under the useless but worth remembering file in the dark recesses of my mind. Wouldn't you know it, but I blew a core on my way home yesterday morning. So, I decided to give the ground strap idea a try. Either it works and my heater core lasts more than a few years or it doesn't. One more thing, I zip tie the heater hose to the AC drier pressure port to isolate the motor vibrations to the drier rather than sending all of it to the heater core.
