Can't be any worse than the passes here in Colorado 7-8 % grades.
Your best bet would be to get a trailer with trailer brakes on it and just haul that truck

Justin @ R&D's close; maby he could help you?

Otherwise, maby have someone in the truck you are towing to hold those brakes as well if things get going fast.
Might not be entirely legal, but at least you have a fallback.

edit:
Also, U-haul vehicle trailers come with surge brakes, so you don't need a controller.

I'm not going over 50mph. I was gonna ask...if I put it on backwards do I lock the front wheels somehow? Or, do I let it steer freely? I've never done it that way.

Seatbelt's always worked for me. All the big rig towing companies do it. Make sure you tie it good though lol I don't know about letting it steer itself, wouldn't wanna find out either

Pretty sure it's 8% straight up through Mount Rainier. I wish I could rent a trailer like that for a decent price. I could tow at $210 for cheaper than I could rent a trailer.

Hey having someone do brakes is not a bad idea. I wouldn't have to buy external tow lights!

You have to lock them if you are pulling it on a dolly. Use the seat belt to secure the wheel. DO NOT rely on the Key lock. It will break.

dolly is too light.
get the uhaul trailer. if it's a one day rent, it should be roughly $70. that's cheap in comparison to a towed vehicle taking you out and everyone else around you.
Will this truck fit on a u-haul trailer?

So, I think it will fit. But, what's this pre inspection thing that u-haul has on their site? Is there any way to avoid that?

I know that uphill I'm going to probably max at 30 with 3rd gear as I have a worn N/A 6.9. I plan on taking regular breaks. I'm more worried about the vacuum pump delete and the lack of rear wheel brakes. I have no power booster. Best case scenario I drive off the pass and die instantly.

So you want to tow a pickup, with a pickup with no brakes? I would say that yes, you driving off the pass and killing only yourself would be the best case scenario.....killing someone who had nothing to do with your stupid plan being the worst case.

Oh nevermind I thought they inspect it after you load the car up.

i'm on the frequent offender program with U-haul. a reg cab p/u has no issues getting onto the trailer(with stock rims)
their "inspedtion" is making sure you lights work and the hitch is the right rating and the mounting is not sketchy. remember, they're in business to make money. not give you a bad time.
