Yup. It's just a casting boss left over on the side. Took about 30 seconds to get it out of the way interferes with the down pipe supposedly.

Is there anyways the intake horn (believe thats the correct term the thing that says banks sidewinder on it) can be rotated 90 degrees so the opening is facing forward so one could rig an intercooler into the system? Or does it have to go on that particular way?

Looks pretty straight forward. Any cab modifications need to be done to clear the piping or just shaving down the transmission? Read that hypermax requires some cab modification.

Thanks man

no.you have to have it cut and welded to work as shown in the intercooler thread;

or use the factory turbo pressure chamber like i did:

Got an autometer boost/vacuum gauge hooked up to it tonight. I know with no load, there will be very little boost, but, the most I can get is about 1 pound. It actually pulls a vacuum when you first get in the throttle. So yeah, can leaky exhaust cause this? I think I know the answer, but this is the first anything I have ever had a turbo. I did pull the pressure chamber off and fired the engine. The turbo was blowing the cdr blow by through it pretty good, so the wheel seems to be turning ok.

All on all, I was pretty happy with the engineering of the kit. It seemed to install just like I expected after studying the instructions.

something is a miss that's for sure.when correct,she'll boost 9.5-10 psi under hard load and upper rpms and go like a ******.
you'll know when she's right,because it'll feel like you just sat another 4 cyl under the hood to go with your 8.it'll be drastic and black smoke free.
you don't want and can't have any leaks.the exhaust is what makes that turbine spin,spinning the turbo to drive air into the engine.100% leak free is your objective.

Yes, you have to clearance the same area of the cab for the downpipe to clear. Wasn't really too hard to do.

Finally got the exhaust all tight. Did a little shimming on my janky transmission crossmember and almost have all the clearance issues worked out. I took it for a little drive today and was able to get about 9 pounds of boost unloaded. I think I am on the right path. I am getting more black smoke than I think I should, so I may have to turn down the pump half a flat or so. I hate black smoke. Seemed to run a bit quicker, but it has been a month or so since I ran it.

I also got a pillar gauge pod that holds 4 autometer gauges. ,so now I know how much boost is there.
