crewcab door latch?

so i bought a new truck well new to me 93 cc the passenger rear door will not open at all the latch is messed up the lock wont work and it seems to be stuck in the locked position. does anyone know how i can get the door open to atleast change the whole assembly out. also the drivers rear is stuck in the unlocked position im gonna try some blaster on it.

The door panel will come off without the door open.

My left rear got stuck in the lock position, the plastic clip broke off the rod.

+1 Just did mine a few nights ago so I could get to the bolts to jack up the cab.

take a flashlight with you. is yours power locks? On the door latch, closest to the back of the cab, near the bottom is the rod/clip/lever for the door lock. If you have a power lock, the actuator might be frozen and the plastic rod clip might have broken from trying to force it.

it never crossed my mind about those pesky lil turds looks like a replacement is in store until then manual locks in the rear lol

The only reason why i know that is from personal experience. My 89 supercab before this truck, this girl and i were on a date (and i was gonna take my benz but the fuel pump had quit) so i jumped in the good ole 89 to pick her up. I locked the doors with the keyless, came back out after dinner to the truck. Hit unlock and my side wouldn't open. I shoved the key in trying to turn it, even had her heave on the handle inside to try and open the door. No dice. Had to crawl in from the other side. Finally got it open, turned out the actuator had locked up. I broke the clip too from trying to force it.

Learn from this fool's mistake.

I'd put my money on a frozen power lock actuator as well, my '90 CC had one rear door with this issue. For now, I've just removed the actuator from the door.
