i just walked into autozone with my pump and told 'em what i wanted to do.they hooked me right up.

20$ minimum order :mad:. I was gonna have it sent 2-day but shipping doesnt count. I'll try and fluff it up.... Don't really want 700ft of fuel line :rotflmao

Got it to 20.05$ lol, least it was stuff I needed (mostly). 2-day shipping brought it to 45

Oooops! I had a couple pretty big orders, so I didn't see that. LOL

Thanks for all the help guys. Should be here by Friday I'm hoping... Between that, the new ip and rebuilt frontend she ought do good! Then I gotta pull the block heater it's leaking. :dunno

One thing I like about mcmaster carr, for where I am, is that if I order and they have it in stock, it's more or less guaranteed to be here the next day. Which is REALLY handy since there are very few places around here that carry the stuff they do, and if there are such places they are probably expensive and/or not open past 5. Plus mcmaster will ship most small orders for around $5 shipping via UPS.

I've had the best luck finding brass fittings at CarQuest. The AZ's in my area have almost no brass fittings and what they do have is China junk. CarQuest had quality Eaton brass fittings and litterally a ton of different options.

I like my electric pump so far! I have a Carter P4070 that I installed a couple weeks ago.

I have mine mounted down just above the skidplate, slightly below the bottom of the front tank. I have a 32 micron spin on filter as a prefilter.

I also took the schrader valve off my factory filter head, and instead installed a screw-type bleed valve (taken off the filter head I used for the prefilter). I REALLY like that becase basically I can turn the key to on so the pump kicks on, crack the bleed valve, wait til some fuel squirts out, tighten it back down, and the system is bled.

Also the truck feels like it runs better at lower RPMs with the e-pump, but that's just the butt dyno judgment of it.

ive noticed that my truck is runing better also. it used to ride at 2000rpms at 60 now at 2000rpms its going 65:dunno

So it does not matter if these are upright or sideways?

im glad it help you out. i think they need to up upright because when the truck is off the fuel bowl is full when its running the fuel bowl is 3/4 full. i would also use a cheap plastic pre filter

Out of curiosity, what kind of fuel pressure are you guys seeing with your pumps when the truck is running?

Well yeah that's what I want, readings from the gauge.

I think I wasn't paying enough attention to the PSI on mine when I ordered it. With the engine off, at the gauge I get 4 psi. When i start the engine I have 3, and when I rev it up pretty high it drops to 2. Dunno if I might need a booster pump at some point or what...

i will, just waiting my lawer to give me my money from my moms death. after that it should be about a month to have mel to build me a ip and russ to get me some bbs and maybe a cam?:sly
