Gauges...gimme your opinions

I've had my glowshift gauges for 1.5 years and love them. They work wonderfully, are dead accurate, and my 3 yr old son loves making them auto change colors! I got the 3 gauge pillar pod with boost, egt, and oil for $170. I wasn't sure about using a "lower grade" gauge when I got them, but I am glad I did. I guess isspro and autometer were "no name" gauges when they first came out as well... Gotta start somewhere.

Alien-How do you like your glowshift gauges? How long you had them? Any probs with them?

as you can see i run 7 glowshift and 3 autometer gauges. I have had them for about a good year now and have not had a problem with them.

i will have to say I did have an oil pressure gauge that was grounding itself out inside the gauge somewhere which was ******* it at the max. It worked perfectly fine before my swap and on the first fire up of my cummins motor it never worked. I called glowshift and about a minute later i had a Return number. Sent it in and got a new one back pronto. I didnt even have the original box. he said just throw the gauge in a box and send it to us. they didnt care. great customer service in my opinion. all 7 have been working great and its my only vehicle i drive so they get well used.

Awesome. I like your set up. Very cool. Can never have too many gauges! I will have 4 or 5 extra gauges whenever I get my set up.

For the SuperDuties, yes they do. I do not remember which Sponser has them but they do make them..... I have looked at them for my Excursion. It was a sponser banner that I clicked on that had the bezel......

Alright guys, im looking at getting these gauges finally. I friend suggested getting a fuel pressure gauge as well. Do i need this, and if so what psi range.

I am also looking to get a new boost gauge. my current one goes to 15 and the turbo only see's 10psi...any reason to get a 30psi?

I have two fuel pressure gauges. In fact I would consider to be the most important aftermarket gauge. If you have two, one before the filter and after, you can see if a) your liftpump has failed or b) your filter has clogged up. Plus you know exactly when its time to change it. The lift pump only puts out 4-7 psi so you dont need anything higher than that.

I'm in love with my fuel pressure gauge. a 15 psi gauge is all you'll need. I'd go electric. I have my sender mounted on the fuel exit elbow on the fuel filter head.

I know my Holley Red is not keeping up with my Moose Pump and Injector demand anymore. The electric is super quick with almost zero lag. It is like watching a throttle-o-meter when getting on and off the skinny pedal.

My '86 dually is set up waay to hot and it never hits over 15 psi.

I would get a 20 max.

talk to dyoung14 about that one, headgaskets can only take 28 PSI apparently
