Will get a video next time,
My truck- 86 f-250 4x4, 6.9NA, t-19,3.55 gears, real high timing, almost maxxed out ip, ram-aiir intake, 3inch flowmaster exhuast, right now it has a 3700 rpm spring but i can feel it cutt power at 3500,( i cant wait till my warranty runs out so i can pass 4000 rpm again,

His truck- 86 f-250 4x4 6.9NA, t-19,3.55 gears, 9.5DegreesBTDC timing, pump turned up about 2 flats, factory air intake and dual 2.5 inch straight pipes, has a BB code injectors rebuilt IP with about 20,000 miles on it and set to 3300,

The race was from a dead start, we started at the same time, and it was a little over a 1/8th mile, but it wasnt a 1/4 mile race, My top speed in the run was somwere around 80 i guess, my tach was about to pass 3000 rpm in 4th, and he was over a trucks distance behind me, i let him pass me once after i had let off and then i floared it in 4th again and passed him like it was nothing

I call your bluff. There is no way you were doing close to 80mph in the 1/8 mile. Not even close. I would be willing to put money on your truck not doing 80 in the 1/4 mile

Look here man, I dont go around lying about **** to get a kick out of it cause im not that way, when i let off it was at or a little over 3000 rpm do the math find out how fast that is, it was over an 1/8 but im pretty sure it wasnt over a 1/4 cause i can judge that distance i have been down the drag strip one too many times, and if you dont beilive what i got to say drive out here and i will take you for a ride

I've been drag racing with a half ton nissan, a shade under 300 hp at the wheels after current modifications, and I go through the traps at 86-88 mph pretty damn regular.

I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying either that 6.9 of yours is a phenomenon (300+ HP n/a!) or you may have mis-judged distance, which is real easy to do, I've done it more times than I can count.

Or the speedo is off, or the tach is off, or the tranny is slipping, could be anything.

Just go to a race track before you start posting numbers. I would say your N/A truck is closer to 11.5-12 sec 1/8 mile and a 17.8-18.2 1/4 mile.

That is a far cry from from what you are posting

Hey, thumbs up for having a good time with little or no money, and winning. 1/8, 2/8, or 3/8 of a mile, sounds like a blast. Your natural sounds like its quick, a real 1/4 mile time would be a good benchmark for all of us to compare to, might even surprise some of us turbo guys. Video from inside the truck, outside at the start, and a high speed drive by would rock. Maybe next time you can measure out a distance even if its by the tenths on your odometer. Wish I was out having simple fun like that more often.

It's hard to scale distance on a road when your pumped up racing your buddy. I assure you it was deffinately over 1/8 of a mile and quite possibly over a 1/4.
If your numbers are correct though, congrats on your 13 sec ride.cookoo

13 seconds as of today on my way home, but thats without side stepping it, im going to try some side stepping and see if i can get it faster

Not too shabby for a NA diesel. I think my 7.3 was 15.5, I need to make a video, that was last winter.

What gear ratio you got?

if I recall your video, your speedo doesn't work.... that makes this part of the discussion worthless.
