Well seeing as my truck is apart waiting on fleabay, I went ahead a talked that guy into selling me his truck!!
WOOOO HOOOOO ;Sweet

Ok It is an 88 F250 He bought it in Tennessee on 3/17/88. He told me it has 500k miles on it I've info here from 4 states. He used it for his work building Post Offices. I'm not sure if you can see it in the pictures but it has all the books and even a Delivery Checklist! I only got to drive it about 2 miles, it was leaving a white cloud behind it?

no idea i was driving remember?:D
you want to argue or diagnose the smoke?
have someone else drive it and you follow the smoke. It's going to be pretty simple based on the information supplied. Either it's injectors or headgasket or cavitation.

I don't want to argue or diagnose the smoke just yet, I'll need to find more info on this thing like fluid levels and leaks? It is just for parts you see, so it may get a rebuild this winter or might be driven? I don't know what I'm going to do yet.:backoff

Next time you drive it go real slow, open the door, hop out and then go behind the truck so you can smell the exhaust
You must be registered for see images attach
Hey that is an idea!!!:fight:

If its a bad head gasket, you'll be going through a lot of coolant and that sweet exhaust smell will be potent if you idle for very long. That's what mine did. If those injectors are very old its a good chance they are the culprit. BTW Dwight I sent you the CDR today, I'll only charge you shipping, you should see it tuesday. I'll send you a PM to let you know how much. Nice truck. Between the two of 'em you should keep busy and have at least 1 truck you like a lot by the time you're done.

That sucks dude...I love NC but I hate how they have so many irritating things like vehicle inspection and such...which we do not have in FL :) The other thing is...you might have the timing out of adjustment just a bit....do you have access to a timing meter or a good shop?

Well i think something like 30 or 35 years old doesn't have to be inspected, and mine always pass anyway.:D Cool I'll check that out too. no timing meter and the shop charges $75/hr.

Trash People leave in used trucks?

Ok, I cleaned out the truck today and it had a lot of papers in the center consul thing. You know bills, receipts, check stubs, deposit tickets, those envelopes you get from the bank when you cash your check.

Ok I found one that felt like it had something in it
and i tore it open and found $450 dollars!;Sweet:thumbsup::eek:

And here is a vid of it running.
