Hahn, Yes they do shine for left hand rule there. I wouldn't need the actual sealed beams from them, I could just use ours. Better yet some right hand rule E codes.

You can use toothpaste...the good old fashioned abrasive white stuff, not gel.....and a soft cotton terry cloth to polish the plastic headlights or about any clear plastic that has yellowed.

That's what I used on 40 year old plastic Tonka Toy windshields when I was into restoring them, works great.

It's been a while but I bought new lights from LMC for I think 79.00 each with the chrome surrounds.

I remember reading somewhere that you can drill a small hole in one upper corner and another in the opposite lower corner on these lights. It is supposed to fix the moisture inside. Once it clears, you use a glue to seal the holes until you need to do the fix again. Don't know if it was true; never tried it. Might be worth trying though.

So the headlights are no good IMO. Good old fashioned sealed beams always seem to work better, at least than old style composites.

I always liked the look of the ?'98? and later cheapo work truck sealed beam setup:

So, I looked for some aftermarket stuff, and OF COURSE found nothing.

I did see a picture for aftermarket grills, and I doctored it up some to show what I am imagining some sealed beams in a '87-'91 might look like.

I like the look of this 91 grill / Headlights. If you make a set, let me know, I'm interested

That looks good with the factory chrome grill.;Sweet
Boy, does it! If someone was able to make that setup available in the U.S., I'd be far more amenable to switching to a brick-nose front end on the inevitable day when I replace all the sheet metal on my truck that's rusting away...

That is ;Sweet and I can still use my E-code lights :D

Looks like a big improvement to me. Heck, it might even convince me to like that body style.

Well I certainly do like the "sealed beam" look of the 80-86 series, I also really like the 92-96 series when you upgrade to the "Free Form Reflector" light housings like the ones pictured here.

Eventually IMHO it would be cool to modify a 92.96 clip to look like these pictures of the white CC here, cookoo  as well as use those clear dark lights.;Sweet ;Sweet

Those fancy looking lights, for the most part, are just that, looks, especially if they are DOT approved, they just do not offer the light that a good set of e-code reflectors does. Running them allows me to have 300W worth of lights facing the front, without auxillary lights, with a MUCH better beam pattern than a DOT light has.

I have compared FF reflectors style lights like the ones shown to the standard fluted lens, and IMHO the FF lens produces a much superior light pattern.

Thus that is why all the newer cars have them. reflect the light where you want it rather than try to bend it through a fluted lens and loose lighting.
