Need Quick Help Fender Relay?

OE Ford Part # for fender mounted starter relay... need number to cross reference at parts house.
1st time ever went to start truck and just got a 'click' like bad batteries but they're new and the starter is a few months old.
With key 'on' I jumped the two large posts at the fender relay... very weak spark, tried it a few more times then it engaged the starter. My guess (hope) is, my original 1988 relay is failing.

I don't have the OE motorcraft # but from Napa it should contain ST404 like "MPE ST404SB" and according to rock auto theres an ACDelco part "F3914" which looks correct.

Per Rock auto "OEM / Interchange Numbers: 12323161, 12336881, 19106724, F903, U939" but cannot confirm these firsthand.

I replaced one year or two ago with the Napa part. Good luck hope it's resolved quickly

Not a "weak start" as it cranks hard but, a very weak 'click' at the relay... as in, not enough voltage getting to starter.
Second possibly ... the solenoid on the reman starter is already acting-up... I installed it several months ago after the original starter from 1988 was getting very tired.
Even though the reman starter is still under warranty > > > who wants to be outside, laying on there back changing out a starter in freezing weather.

Both true. Those guys don't know how to look anything up any other way than using a VIN.

Reading through this...I did a thread on this same subject.

Finding the correct Starter relay for 86 IDI 6.9

Now you would think this would be a simple item to buy through O`Really`s. Tell the guy "86 F-250 6.9 IDI Diesel Starter Relay". They had one in stock. Great! $19.27 with Tax. Today Disconnect the 2 Batteries, Wires to the Relay, remove it. Take new one out of box...had a different mount bracket...

Update... I ended up using a made in Mexico relay from the brand "Standard" apparently it's more HD vs the ACDelco I was going to use.
The truck started but earlier it also started with the relay I removed ending in "AA".
Called a different local Ford dealership that went above and beyond... if this helps anyone: the top Ford # and the Motorcraft # are replacement numbers for the OE that I just removed.
Ford can get the Motorcraft # SW1951B at $70.00
One thing I did notice, the push-on 'S' terminal is much more positive and solid and that's where the relay gets its signal to engage the starter.
Only other options may be a dead spot in my reman starter or possibly the 'neutral safety switch'.
Fingers crossed that I'm good.

Update... so far so good, even seems to be cranking better.
And again, I 'believe' the relay I replaced was original from 1988.

It’s just a standard starter relay. Same relays ford and others have been using since the 60s. Sometimes this site is too funny.

Yeah, maybe, but apparently you haven't had to buy parts for an old vehicle in a long time, you must drive a prius? You see, our trucks have 2 batteries under the hood, which produces a bunch of amps, id calculate how many amps, but I don't have enough toes and I left my abacus in my bronco. Now, I know the rest of us don't have a battery under our bed with 2/0, so we can't talk about that witchery, but the amperage and cheap China parts don't get along. So as an online community of guys that have decided to drive great looking trucks with the worst diesel engine ever made, we do discus trivial things like solinoids. Because sometimes other members have found that certain brands, even Motorcraft OEM suck. So we keep a look out for the good stuff.......
