I would think so, but you want to keep the bleeder too.Do you think I could just tap into the bleeder port for my fuel pressure gauge?

At least you know how to start it.It’s a pile, and needs starter fluid even on hot starts. But it’s got loads of power and is fun to drive .
I’m not bullshitting, I’m driving it today and the clutch master cylinder went out.At least you know how to start it.![]()
tomorrow I’m gonna be driving my brothers 85 with the 6.9 to town to get parts. It never ends with these turds
It seems like it sometimes. You just have to keep in mind that you have to work out 30+ years of neglect and old parts. After that, these trucks are pretty reliable. It never ends with these turds
Yeah, I had to learn early on that with a 30+ year old vehicle I was going to end up fixing things that most people never saw fail because they got rid of the vehicle long before time took its toll.It seems like it sometimes. your truck is nice looking, similar to mineHey guys. First time posting on here. I have a 1986 F250 that I bought out of a barn. Been sitting for 10 years. I got it going. Then swapped it from 2wd auto to 4x4 manual zf5. Truck was EXTREMELY .....
Trust me, you don't have to be 19 for that to happen. I'm 53 and still live that way.Im 19 and live in poverty due to my crippling truck addiction.
Thankfully I have nowhere to park anymore vehicles so my addiction is held in check. But a little tractor work and who knows . . . .Trust me, you don't have to be 19 for that to happen. I'm 53 and still live that way.
Or maybe you have to do what I want to and buy another property to put stuff on.Thankfully I have nowhere to park anymore vehicles so my addiction is held in check. But a little tractor work and who knows . . . .
pretty sure its best to call R&D and ask about a pump. Not all of them make it online and from what I hear you can be waiting quite a while for ones to come up for sale on the website.Well I got good and interesting news! I’ve parked the truck as I don’t want to get stranded. Yeasterday I fired it up and drove it from the feild up to my driveway. I pulled the mechanical fuel pump to get another truck running. It ended up running great! Today I went ahead and swapped my mechanical fuel pump back in my white truck and it doesn’t work!!! That’s good news for me as that explains my problem I was having. Lift pump going out. Sucks I spent $140 on this one a month or two back on eBay hoping it would last. Nope, another dud. So I will be installing electric fuel pump!
I’ve done some research, and I’m gonna order the Walbro FRB 13-2 off summit, and run a Raycor RAC500FG10 water separator/filter before the pump. And just continue using my 10micron factory spin on. Excited to get this all put together. Hopefully this truck will do better in high RPM
I also plan to order the R&D injection pump and injectors when they get re stocked, but in the meantime I’m gonna keep running the Pensacola **** injection pump. Im 19 and live in poverty due to my crippling truck addiction. So I’ll have to save and set some money aside for when they’re re stocked. I’m also going to put the torque cam that (Russ) sells in the truck for a little more grunt.![]()
Yeah these days it’s tuff for everyone. Hope things change, but I’m not too optimisticTrust me, you don't have to be 19 for that to happen. I'm 53 and still live that way.
I only have room for 10-12 depending. But I have neighbors, so I’m trying to clean things up. This was this summer, then there’s another 8 or so parking spots to the right I’ve got it looking 100x better now.Thankfully I have nowhere to park anymore vehicles so my addiction is held in check. But a little tractor work and who knows . . . .
Ok will do, thanks. I saw the Moose website as well, but was confused with their options. I did see they had an injection pump that was ugly, but mechanically perfect. It was $100 less than normal pumps.pretty sure its best to call R&D and ask about a pump. Not all of them make it online and from what I hear you can be waiting quite a while for ones to come up for sale on the website.
CDD and Moose diesel also sell quality pumps and are recommended by many people on here if you cant get one from R&D
That’s a scary thought, hope that’s not the problem. Wish I knew about the showerheads in the tanks this summer when I had the tanks out, and coulda easily replaced themIt is probably NOT your mechanical lift fuel pump. Or - - any other part of the fuel system from the lift pump on up to the injectors.
You need to drain the fuel from the fuel tanks, and blow air through the fuel lines - - - from the lift pump inlet hose all the way back into the tanks.
I’m willing to bet good money that the plastic fuel pick up screen assembly inside the tank has disintegrated, and it has sucked up a bunch of plastic pieces into the fuel system. It’s a very VERY common problem when fuel starvation is the issue!
You can rig up a temporary fuel tank, like an outboard motor fuel tank or something…
but, honestly – I’m willing to bet your fuel system has little pieces of black plastic stuck all over inside of it, including inside the fuel tank selector valve
