Battery cables on Project Brownie were looking rough so I replaced them with 2/0 cables and military terminals.

After I completed the job, I realized that I had flipped the batteries around. The terminals had been closer to the firewall originally but now they're closer to the radiator support.

It wouldn't be that difficult to flip them around, but I might have to make new negative cables. If so, no big deal.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I said that and mean it and I assume your battery’s have the hood downs in place and are tight and secure. If they are bouncing around then I’d be worried. Keep it up. Looks great again.

Ok, it was bugging me, so I flipped the batteries around and redid the cables. Had to make another long positive and one negative.

All of my ford diesels, I have a variety ranging from 83 through 06 all have the negative post of both batteries towards the fender. So the batteries are flipped opposite of each other.

Yeah, looking at it again, think you're right. I wonder why that is? Maybe because it slightly decreases the length of the positive cable that connects the two batteries?

Whatever the case, I'm inclined to leave it as-is.

Thanks
