Quick trip report: need to write a longer one when I have the time, but time with the wife take priority.

2500 miles, 15.5 mpg - 16.7 mpg

Trouble-free except for 3 different times..........
1. Vail Pass 40 mph, 2nd gear locked.
2. The IKE Gauntlet, 2nd gear locked, better than Vail
3. Monarch Pass, 2nd gear 30 mph
...... fascinating.......

Note: I have no idea what those things are.

Yep. I know that one can be a bear without a turbo. The mirror and the pyro is how I drive that one too. Cottonwood Pass is easy since it's a max of 35 MPH. Those are the only two above the tree line passes that I've driven.
Cottonwood Pass, I am not sure of that one, will have to look it up.

I am back full time into shift so won't be able to focus on Wally for a little bit. But as I was doing GP's and such, I think the two most likely culprits for air ingestion are the filter housing, and there is a tight rubber 90 going into the injection pump.

Verbal vomit :)

The filter housing is down on the trans crossmember, so hard line to mechanical pump, up over the engine and down to filter housing, and then back up to injection pump.

Sit in your recliner......keep your feet on the floor......Lie back just a bit.......Now imagine you are on a riding lawn mower in the same position, on the governor, motor screaming, grass clippings flying, and that ditch incline you are climbing.......well....it extends for 5 miles at the same 10% upgrade!!!:D

I screwed up the quote function, the first sentence I had started this morning, and then family called. Just got to it now and wrote the rest quickly. Are you sure you would rather switch shirts 3-4 times a day for 9 months of the year over a nice steep SLOW climb in a NA IDI...:p

I need 3.55's and a turbo!!

I complain, but I think I secretly love it. I'm what's called a Florida c r a c k e r, which means I'm a poor white native born NW Floridian. My culture is being over run by Yankees, but this is all I know......where else would my weird c r a c k e r self be accepted? It would be neat to see a mountain up close one day, but I don't know if I want to drive on one. Apparently they're big.

I have 2 turbo kits to sell, I'm giving you regular posters a shot at them before I put them on the market place. If you're interested PM me. I'll get "right" on the price for y'all but I'm going for "fair market value" if I put them on the market.

Problem is, are they for pickups...? If you have a van kit, VERY Interested!!!

I guess only around 20% of the parts work according to nickpicasa or whatever his site is. So I think I am better off saving for a hypermax kit.

Thoughts?

Would there be a recliner, or lawn mower runoff ramp?

Funny thing is, Pre-Covid… we had a BBQ Restaurant called just that Florida C r a c k e r BBQ. Never got in there to eat, but heard it was really good. (We normally do not go out to eat…. $$$ goes farther at the store for a large family)

I got 9 kids, I grow and butcher most all of my own food and power my truck with waste motor oil. Anything to NOT spend $$$.
