And it’s all done. Threads are an M6 x 1.0 and fit perfectly. Old chrome was a bit rusty so cleaned it up and now it’s like new!

Haha, I had to go back to see what Seladoor was talking about. Nice work!

And yup. Good luck trying to fix the signal lever on a plastic setup.

I have a 1986 Ford F350 flatbed farm truck that is my daily driver. The things replaced on my truck

Gas tank
Radiator
Dura spark II controller
Water pump
Power steering pump

The wiring on my truck is rotten. I removed the connectors between dura spark and the distributer. On the carb the choke heater wire was rotten.

I think the biggest thing is the wiring failing. The closer the wire is to the ground the more rotten it will be.

Have fun.

Does anyone have a clue what brand these gauges are and if they are worth a damn? Currently have an old oil pressure gauge in my custom center console leaking oil all over.

These three and the bracket came with the truck. Be nice to install them but don’t have lights or any info on them. Looks like I have some white tubing to go with the OPG and the water temp gauge is already routed just not installed.

I'm not about the brand of the gauges, but I will say don not use the ammeter in your truck. Even the 1G alternator that cane from the factory in your truck will put out more than 60 amps. It gets quite exciting when you max out your ammeter and short circuit it out. I found out the hard way once in my old 1984 Mustang. A voltmeter is what you need to keep an eye on your electrical system.

@IDIBRONCO took me a minute to find but these are Harbor Freight special gauges. Included in them is the engine temp gauge that apparently loves leaving its tip inside an engine and the OPG reads low. Looks like I’ll be purchasing a new set when I have the time.

New tires going on tomorrow. Wheel bearings shortly to follow. Need to look at my pitman arms and linkages, something is allowing the wheels to slack for a moment when turned right. Found my Truck Owner Guide in the glovebox and figured I would share a few things as they seem helpful and interesting.

Added some primer to the hood yesterday to hopefully delay the rust a while. Installed new door pins on the driver door and it closes like a dream now. Also added some Lucas Oil Power Steering Stop Leak and it got rid of the whine completely.

Discovered my washer nozzle works but needed cleaning. Oxy-acetylene torch tip cleaners work wonderfully.
