Hi everyone. New to this site. My '02 F-350 7.3 starts and idles fine. Then, after 10 minutes or so of idling, it shuts off abruptly....no sputtering, then will start right back up. Check engine light is on. I don't have a code reader, but would be interested in getting one. Any suggestions?

you really need to get the code read, the PCM is telling you what is wrong.

On a 02, many should work. I would still start with a bluetooth obd2 adapter, with torque pro. (If you run android)

Look into a usb to obd2 cable, then run forscan on your laptop.
Or go all out and buy autoenginuity. (Around $400)

If you have a laptop, get a bluetooth dongle and use ForScan. It should tell you everything you need to know for under $35.

My bet is IPR, but I just like to gamble :)

Just have to make sure the laptop is bluetooth compatible first. That's why I recommended the usb one. Lol
