The body shop that is repairing my cab-mounts (now charging me more than I was quoted) tells me my drivers side door hinges are shot...I was there this morning and sure enough the repair-kit I installed a few years back is sloppy.
Years back (maybe 5) I ordered and installed the "bushing and pin kit" to tighten things-up again.
The bushings tapped into the hinges nice and tight but, the pins that came with them seemed a little too narrow, not a snug fix.
ANYHOW...has anyone ordered the replacement hinges from LMC?
I hate to spend the money on new replacement drivers side door hinges to find out they are sloppy from day-one or will prematurely wear out.
Thanks for any feedback, Ray
(ps...I would try to install them myself, sure don't want to give the body shop more $$$ after he's charging me more than the quote on the cab-mount repair)

I bought the “Goodmark” ones from rockauto and they are nice and tight after being in for a year so far.

Replacement hinge pins are almost always a waste of time. Usually the hole for the bushing in the bracket works loose and you end up still having to shift the hinges to realign the door. I have to say those rockauto hinge assemblies look nice. To think of the amount of time I spent trying to make mine look nice when I could have just bought new galvanized hinges and been done with it.

Wait! Are you saying that the 10mm bolt in my upper, driver's side door hinge isn't worth a hoot? Then why would the last idiot to drive my truck do that? It's no wonder that I have to roll down my window to get the door to close fully. Some days I'd really like to get a hold of that guy!:kick:Then again, new door hinges are WAY cheaper than the fines and court costs.:(
