Yeah I meant the turn signal switch/multifunction switch.
I changed the flasher in "relay one" and went and inspected each fuse and it's particular location. Everything checked out.
I'm trying to figure out what color the power feed is to the multifunction switch to make sure it is...
Hi OldBull8,
I already removed the covers and changed the multifunction switch. I simply cannot figure out why there is nothing happening with the flashers. Everything else works and most everything is new. If anyone has a pinout so I can check for power @ the multifunction switch wiring...
Hi everyone,*
I just bought a late 99 and my turn signals/hazzards quit working.*
So far I've changed the multifunction switch, the relay behind the radio, and the flasher module. All fuses were checked and replaced as well as the bulbs.*
I am beginning to think a wire is shot in the...
Hello all,
I need a working injection pump to put on my '94 7.3 as mine is toast......I have cash in hand and please feel free to call/text (630) 386-6436 My name is Brad and if no answer leave message and I will call you back as soon as I can.
Thanks
Well after triple checking everything, I felt the need to try the k.i.s.s method. After thinking about it, I checked the wiring on the fender well solenoid, I found a few bad connections and after a thorough cleaning problem solved. The rapid clicking was due to a lack of power to the relay
Thanks for the quick response.....thinking back to it....those yellow wires that supply power from the batter were bad on my truck so I ran a #4wire with fuse from the battery to supply power - makes me wonder if having the yellow wires hooked up is causing some sort of issue.
Plugs also...
Hi guys, got myself in a bit of a pickle here.
The truck is a 94 7.3 NON turbo with an E40D
My glowplug controller went bad on me the same time my alternator did (when it rains it pours I suppose:rolleyes:)
Anyways I installed the new alternator and glow plug relay today, hooked my...
+2 on the brazing or jb weld option if you have no way to pull the motor! There are a ton of bolts supporting the pan coupled with loads of grease and the scraping required to clean the rails - well, it's just easier to pull it out.
Drain any remaining oil from the pan, brake clean the damaged...
I should have clarified my post a bit better - When I implied "straight argon" I meant to say I will never weld with flux core, I only use a mig welder with shielding gas....I do in fact use a 75% argon 25% Co2 mix - heck my supplier doesn't even have straight argon anymore. Sorry for the...
Yeah flux core can be pretty sloppy....I don't even bother using it anymore for that reason! 100% argon is my choice. When it was opened up, were you able to see around the inner part of the wheel arch? I often wonder how much area there is available for crap to gather and rot out the...
Thanks for the suggestions guys! I do in fact have a power steering pulley puller, tools are something I am not short on.......
I will take some pics of the pump so you guys can see the carnage, its crazy.
I'm just glad to still have brakes whether power or manual! A pedal that goes to the floor will turn white drawers brown real quick! My 1967 mustang has 4 wheel manual drum brakes and stops just fine, as long as your doing 15mph or less haha
I don't know if anyone else was planning on tent camping or anything, but I am going to be bringing a travel trailer and I will be the only one in there, it sleeps 6 additional people...if anyone is interested let me know
Will do! I could tell it was on the fritz because I could drive the truck 30-45 minutes and it would be fine, then the pedal would start getting progressively harder to press down until the brake light would come on due to a low vacuum condition. As soon as it cooled down, it would be...
It's on my '94 F350, I'm just glad I was so close to home when it sheared in half though! Good call on rock auto, they are 71.50 ...it just stinks that it happend...
I love my trucks, but they are all living up to fix or repair daily hahaha
How common is it for vacuum pumps to fail on these trucks and what do you all recommend for replacement? Mine locked up then sheared the housing off....odd I know...
Didn't know if this is a common thing or if there is some sort of maintenance that needs to be performed to prevent this from...
+1 on the obnoxiousness! My '86 went through 3 cheap exhaust systems last year and I gave up and just ran the open Y-Pipe! By the time farming was done last fall and it was snow plow season, I never hooked it back up. Plowing snow with an open Y-Pipe was kinda fun though, I would bet my shoveler...
