    I'd like to swap in an NV eventually. Whats required in this swap? Do the shafts have to changed or are the 2 trans close enough in lenth to keep the same shafts? Can i keep the same transfer case? What about cross members and such? Id search it but im in a bit of a rush. I'll check it out later...

    Really, thats surprising. The trans in my friends truck has somewhere around 100k on it and its junk. Pops out of more gears then it stays in and theres all sorts of slop and such. What kind of HP do you think your running? I love those old first gens.

    A 3408 in a chevy or a 3208? I couldnt imagine a one ton truck being able to hold up to 2500 lbs of engine and 2000 ft lbs of torque. Nice engine though

    That sounds good with hydrolic oil. There is always tons of hydrolic oil around. Shame is that most of it leaks onto the ground from broken hoses and leaking fittings and cylendars. I dont think that they could get ya for anything with atf but it could be enough to hold you up for a while if you...

    I dont think atf is a good idea. All you need is to get pulled over by DOT and have them dip your tank and see red and your done. DOT guys are nuts. What does the WMO do for your fuel mileage? Chris

    Whats the differnce between a chevy and gmc front end? Theyre both IFS right? Personally I wouldnt want my truck to ride like a car. I want a truck to ride like a truck. Leafs all around is my preference with a solid front axle. Chris
