    I'd like to swap in an NV eventually. Whats required in this swap? Do the shafts have to changed or are the 2 trans close enough in lenth to keep the same shafts?     Really, thats surprising. The trans in my friends truck has somewhere around 100k on it and its junk. Pops out of more gears then it stays in and theres all sorts of slop and such. What kind of HP do you think your running? I love those old first gens.

    A 3408 in a chevy or a 3208? I couldnt imagine a one ton truck being able to hold up to 2500 lbs of engine and 2000 ft lbs of torque. Nice engine though

    That sounds good with hydrolic oil. There is always tons of hydrolic oil around. Shame is that most of it leaks onto the ground from broken hoses and leaking fittings and cylendars.     Whats the differnce between a chevy and gmc front end? Theyre both IFS right? Personally I wouldnt want my truck to ride like a car. I want a truck to ride like a truck. Leafs all around is my preference with a solid front axle. Chris

    If i were you I would run it mixed in with some ATF or fresh motor oil to see if it will burn. I would run the ATF or oil for lubricity and maybe for a little extra burn. Chris
