I was wandering thru the J-Yard last Sat. Looking for a set of seatbelts for this little Go-Kart project. I was passing a 90's Bronco that had an engine fire. As I pondered the NOS sticker on the rear side window, I noticed, NIIIICE wheels, then I noticed the Bags.
Firestone bags, Brackets,and Airlines $50.00 The cool thing was, that someone had allready taken the springs off the truck. So, 4 bolts per bracket, and they were mine.

Anyone have the install instructions for them? It looks pretty straight forward. Just wondering if theres any alignment perameters I need to follow.

schweet find on the bags... From what I have seen it's pretty much just line them up with the axle and bolt them on - then run the air line but always keep some pressure in them - I don't know the true reasoning behind always keeping some pressure in them but read it on an install page somewhere on the net back when I was thinking about adding them to the E.

Always have at least 10psi in the bags according to the install instructions from the ones I installed at the shop,

Without air pressure the bags can fold over themselves and wear holes through. Just like when you run on a tire low on air, the sidewall folds over and rubs through.

Rob, Did you get the air compressor also, or do they fill manually?

There was a truck at the auction that I wanted to buy today, 89 F250 Ex Cab 2wd 460 auto. Looked like a nice clean older guy owned truck and it had new air bags on it. They would have gone on my truck cause mine leak a little, think like Mr Roboto said.

But I got a call and couldn't stay at the acutino for the whole day so I had to let it go.

No compressor, they're manual filled. But I got all the fittings.
My 85 has bags on it, they say 20 psi min. If I wasn't so impressed with them on my 85, I don't think I would have gotten them. They really help out on larger loads.

Darrin, check your shrader valves. Mine were leaking down slowly. It just turned out to be bad valves.The rubber seats were scored. $.60 each, and they hold air like they were new
