Chevy, Ford Dodge input shafts?

The Dodge input shaft is definatly a weak link. Needs a Billet.

Having broken a input shaft, I know they are a weak link in high HP trucks. When I called about one, and they were in stock everywhere, and were bringing in a Premium. $600-$800.

To replace one, you have to tear down the tranny until it's bits and pieces.

Last time I talked to ATS (about the Allison), They said the shaft was plenty strong.
That is one gargantuate shaft for the Allison!

The allison seems to need clutch packs..... probably the same with the torqshift........ But i have not heard anything about it? How much HP did you have when you broke the input shaft?

My truck is a Dodge, so it's the smallest shaft shown, but, I was around 400-450,, but it wasn't the HP or TQ, it was thte Peak TQ during a locked shift that did it in.
