Wiring questions...

I am about to start my 89 F250 5.8 to 6.9 swap. My donor truck is an 87 F350 C&C. When I pulled the wiring harness out of the donor truck, it appears that EVERY wire at the round firewall plug has been cut and spliced back together!:mad: The harness is a MESS to say the least. Should I go through it and make sure the splices are done correctly, or look for another harness?..OR can I use the gasser's harness? What about the under dash harness? Does all that need to be swapped out as well?

i have a complete engine side harness that has been surgically removed. 1989 7.3na E4DOA trans. BW1356 transfrer. $150 plus ship.

How are you planning to run the glowplugs? If you hand wire in a manual system, you could just use the 5.8 harness. Find the white/lightblue wire that feeds the coil and ignition module, and use that to power the injection pump.

The E4OD has a stand alone 'puter right? I have a C6. I think the harnesses are separate, right? I am interested. How much for shipping to 92223? Thanks

some of the looming is intergrated such as the fipl plug but won't shut you down if you don't have it plugged in. the only downside is asthetics. reply with email so I can send you pics of the harness to confrim body side compatibility.
