will it spool?

Hey all, I am working on my remote mount turbo and I have come up with a turbo off of a 90 5.9 cummins-H1C I think (D250) will my 6.9 spool this or no? Also if it will spool it the turbo is non-gated......Will I overboost? Thanks

Not enough of a turbo guru. I have an acquaintance with the early Cummins turbo diesel and his truck makes 3 psi most of the time, 9 psi is the most he's been able to get out of it. Its pretty bone stock....but it sounds like the boost would be in the right range. You'll have to bolt it on and see, unless you know cfm numbers, which someone who knows will be able to compare to the standard IDI turbos.
