We ended up getting a pretty nice storm up here.

As usual, the truck got me out of the mess and down the hill to work, no questions asked.

Had to get the snow off the windshield with an old pizza box so I think I probably have a little pepperoni in the cowl now. LOL

CA is a big state. And the Sierra Nevada's are where some of the countries biggest snows have fallen, so you won't catch me saying CA has no snow.

Around Lake Tahoe it's pretty well covered. Lots of fun driving up there.
they certainly are. I was lucky and was up there between the storms this week. the snow is piled up three feet past the roof of my 'burb and that was before today's "dusting". anything off the main roads is snowed in. even the plowed roads are not much fun to drive on, most of them are iced over from the melting snow refreezing. The yuppies were having fun playing bumper cars with their mucho expensive 4wd suv's, there were smart enough to stay clear of the 'burb....they knew damn well which vehicle was going to win any arguement:D
oh yea......that 6.5 turbo motor loved that chilly cold air;Sweet

I grew up by the coast... Hell I don't even know what one of those scrapers would look like...

My wife suggested I take "a shovel" to get the snow off. She's really got some beef with my truck, I know that now. LOL

Like Calvin said, it was pretty fun blowing by the stuck micro-suv's today. That "All wheel drive" don't mean crap if you don't have any weight sitting on top of it. I just locked the hubs, put 'er if 4hi and had NO problems getting down the mountain. ;Sweet

And then even that sometimes doesn't help. I had a rental Yukon, when my AWD Chevy Express Van was in the shop, and that thing with it's stock tires had no grip during our last storm. I was sliding all over the place and almost got stuck on a slight hill at an intersection with it spinning all 4 tires at just above idle.... My van has some meaty tires on it and can go almost anywhere.

When I was in college, I saw a girl using a hammer (yes..... a hammer) to "break the ice" off her car after an ice storm. I just had to walk away before she tried Mr. Hammer on the car's glass.

I used a coarse bristle push broom to clean off the truck. there's nothing stupider than the yuppies running around with snow piled up on their roofs. not to mention it's dangerous too.
