Which ATS turbo is this?

Going to be buying this truck in the next few days. It's the 91' I had mentioned in another thread. Crew cab, long bed, 4x4, ATS turbo.

Anyway, I'm curious which model ATS turbo kit is on this truck. Here are some pictures. (Full size for detail.)

Also, what is that little indicator looking thing on the right side of the filter box? I'm new to diesels.

The turbo seems to be on the passenger side rear of the engine if that helps.

It's an ATS 093 turbo system. The object you're wondering about is a filter minder.

Thanks. What is it about the turbo that identifies it? I looked for a tag but couldn't find one. Figured there would be a model number if I found one.

And that filter minder indicates if the filter gets dirty I would guess?

The 093 is their waste gated turbo system.
And correct, the filter minder shows status of filter life.

Hmm, I had thought the 085 was the only non waste gated ATS. I was under the impression the 088, and 093 were both waste gated. Maybe I read wrong.

That air box is same as factory FORD and that is a 093 turbo setup. We know what they are for the most part by looking at them from experience....

088 is NON waste gate, I've got one! It is completely different beast!

So the 093 is an aftermarket kit? Or is this a stock turbo somebody's pulled from a 94.5?

by the airbox, it would indicate it's a 093 aftermarket kit.
but that can be changed. only way to confirm or deny is on the exhause outlet. either the outlet is a slip-fit(aftermarket) to the downpipe or it's a v-band clamp(OEM) to the downpipe.
