What would you price this truck at?

Ive got a 90 f350 single cab 4x4 dually cab n chassis with 110k on it. Ive had a few people interested in buying it but im not really sure what to ask for it.

Specs out as a 7.3 with a fresh rebuild on the e4od. Dana 60 front with a 9ft flatbed with a gooseneck and pintle hitch.

It needs a new seat, a front light, glowpugs, alternator battery cables and tires. Other than that its jump in and drive; we regulary used it around the property when its needed.

I have the parts to fix the problems and make it road worthy. I initially bought it to tear it apart for other projects but its a useful truck that could work well for someone.

There are pictures of it in the show off your idi thread around page 18-19.

Im just looking for input and opinions on going prices.

2-3K , the body looks pretty good to me and it does have low miles. I'd pay that for it. Although, that's just me.

That's a hard one to estimate. You definitely have to find the right buyer. It's too old for most commercial businesses to want and probably not what most would want to daily drive. I'd say $2200. I'm not trying to down the truck in any way, it looks very work capable, just trying to be realistic as to who it would be worth money to.

Thats the problem I seem to be having. It can be parted for more that I can probably sell it.

they're the best trucks for working.a 4wd dually.they are second to none,and not cheap to build(i know),let alone buy cheap lol.
fix the issues listed and i see 4k all easy for her with 100k and a fresh E40D to boot! (id personally never dream of letting it go for that low if it where mine though fyi.)
got the receipt for the trans?


though,a 4wd (even a 4wd dually) might be a tough sell in florida.
i think the best bet is to resolve the issues listed,and then toss her on ebay without issues,while focusing on:
"diesel" "4wd dually" "low miles" "fresh E40D" "gooseneck" "pintle hitch" "turn key,ready to go to work"
i bet you'd be happy with the bids.

Give the bed a coat of black tractor paint, maybe throw some paint on the frame, clean up the wheels, buff the sh*t out of the paint, and clean up the interior.

With all that done I think you could ask 3k.

Really just depends on the person, some people will pay more for an older truck in better shape than they will for a newer truck beat to hell.

I was trying to sell my 92 crewcab flatbed to someone who raised bee's. They liked the 92 but made a "beeline" for the 90.

In order to get a decent amount for it I have to fix things to get it road worthy again or I wont get much for it and it would be worth more parting it out. I originally got it to be the donor for my 94 crew cab 4x4 that needs a motor but I may end up going a different route for drivetrains on that.

If you do decide to part it out, keep me in mind for the drivers side fender and door if they have little rust. Possibly the hood too.

Lol, ive got several rust free hoods, fenders, core supports etc that are already off the trucks and ready to go. Shoot me a pm, heck a little florida vacation and you could go back with all sorts of goodies lol.

i know i wouldn't.you really would?
don't get me wrong,i like a nice looking truck too,hence the diamond plate tool boxes,stainless nurf bars,etc.but that's all stuff i can do latter,after a lowest possible purchase price.

If I was buying a truck for business, then yes I would pay a little more for a nice truck with fresh paint and a clean interior, just so I wouldn't have to do it myself and have the down time.

Hell throw a ladder rack on it and two 8" tool boxes and I'd give him 5K for it.

I think it is comical when people say that it is worth more parting it out. While that may be true, it is a ton more work to part something out, Then you have to have the thing sit there for a month in parts on jack stands wrenching on it while people call you, ask for a part, beat you up on price then not show up to buy the part.. Why,.. so you might make an extra $500 on it but to what cost, and what are your time and busted knuckles worth?

As far as worth, I have sold 2 trucks just like this,(F350 cab and chassie 4x4's) no bed, both were gassars one with no motor no bed, 5sp and a cab fire. the other one had a 460 gasser auto with a dump box, the truck was rusted to the ground, barley ran, I sold both trucks for $2500.00 each.

I agree with cleaning it up, spend some time with some good ole Rustolium Black Spray Paint on the bed and frame, and I would think It should be a $4 to $4,500.00 truck.
