What Timing w/ Original Banks Turbo Kit

Does anyone know where to find the install instructions for the NON-Wastegate Banks Turbo Kit for the IDI engines? All I can find is the instructions for the wastegated design. All I am really looking for is to see if they recommend the timing be different than factory. I bought a non-running truck at an auction and it already had the turbo kit installed. It starts and runs well but it is extremely noisy under light throttle when cruising. It's coming from the engine not from exhaust. Sounds like my other truck does when the timing advance is still on so I'm thinking it has more timing but wanted to see if banks says to add more timing. I wouldn't think so but if anyone has access to the install instructions or just knows what their timing recommendation (if any) that would be great. Thanks

There is a metric crapload of settings and opinions on this.
When I had the 88 with non gated banks truck I called them there was 1 old timer left there who said amongs other stuff, "time it where it pulls the best for your driving style. "
So try something like 7 to 9 maybe 10 degrees, don't go to far or you burn glows...
Time it burn a tank load and compare mpg and bitt dyno results...
