I wouldn't use anything other than a factory diesel radiator or a custom unit designed to handle the heat that these engines produce- there's a reason that there is such a big radiator in front of these engines

If trying to find a used one, you *might* be able to find one out of a mid range diesel truck that you could squeeze in there, but a factory one would be a whole lot easier to fit in if you can find one.
You need a big rad for these critters, they don't put off much waste heat when running empty, but when you load them down , they put out an incredible amount of waste heat and need all the cooling they can get.

I ran one from a 6.5 turbo diesel chevy.. and agree completely with the above sentiments.

our IDI radiators are almost double the size of my 460 radiator.

When I bought a new radiator for my 90, I was asked if it was a 31" or a 34", it is a 31". From that you would have to measure the width. Try radiators.com , got mine for $285 plus $20 shipping. You have to go thru a few pages and chat with them or call the number listed.

Mine is the OEM made in Mexico.

No matter which place you buy from make sure of two very important things. Ask how many fins per inch the core is and how many tube rows it has. More rows and more fins per inch will cool down any motor. Don't use a three row with 12 fins per inch. It can't exchange enough heat off the fins. Get 15 or 16 fins per inch with 4 rows. You will have a great radiator. These two questions are never really asked when buying a new radiator...... Ebay has some good deals on aluminum radiators for our rigs but watch the quality. I like the aluminum Rodney Red two row radiator. The tubes are 1 1/4 inch wide. I'm making lots of heat with the Moose pump and the way I'm tuned up so that really cools my motor. I had a custom 5 row in my rig... It was just not really up to cooling my motor so I moved up and never looked back... Thanks RLDSL for turning me on to them....;Sweet:D
