Been hunting a leak that drove me nut , though i had it all fixed but it came back again . SO i went to the auto parts store and Bought me 2 bottle of Eng oil Dye , geek yellow shade and UV light

took a short drive and waited for it to get dark outside , Sure enough i found the leak coming from the Turbo return line again , The gasket below the turbo must not holding although it looked good the 1st time .

If you chase a leak cut your work short and get that dye

I have some of it, for other peoples rigs...mine are usually spotless and easy to find new or existing leaks

Use the tools available to help yourself fix things. No reason to fight an easy job with the right tools. Need a tool and not have it.. Well we have all been there too.

^ that is correct , Every day is a learning day . Here is what puzzled me , I shine my UV light on top by the turbo drain tube and i see the bright dye glowing around my flex tube, As some of you already know how tight the space gets in there So i go under the truck and i see the oil by the starter and i am suppose to see it glowing but no glowing dye ..If that makes any sense, How is that possible .. .

Oil pan bone dry and head gasket , VC bone dry as well as shining the UV light unfolded nothing .

I used 2 dye bottle which is good for 10qt

I would think this is a simple case of the dye not making it that far yet. Drive more and I bet you see it.
