No you need Flex Seal for that. Remember what Billy Mayes did to that poor S-10?Maybe he was a Top Gear fan and he wanted to build an amphibious IDI?

I forgot this about mine. It smelled the same way and I didn't know that you could put so many cigarette butts in one ashtray. I used a shop vac to get rid of those.and smelled like a 1940's back poker room.cigar box
I will have to try this trick. I know if you have driven with no seatbelt, stop and get out with the truck running, the seat belt chime doesn’t sound until the next restart. On the early Excursions: you could just push the orange button on the driver's seat belt latch and it would turn off the fasten seat belt chime. I remember when my buddy sold that Excursion and bought a brand new 2005 F250 and he was pretty saddened that the same orange button trick wouldn't work
Good choice!I ended up leaving it unplugged again after I had to dismount it from the bracket when I replaced the wiper motor.

Don't unplug the sensor, find the noise-maker and unplug it. The computer can send its distress signals 'til the cows come home, but you don't have to hear it.
On our old beasts it's a relay, but relay or computer, the sensor isn't what makes the noise. There is a dinger or speaker or something under there somewhere. Unplug that, and it gets quiet.
