Anybody know roughly how much my 84 extra cab 4x4 weighs basically stock

Why not take it to a public scale and have it weighed?. It should not cost that much to have it done. You may not live near a truck stop that has a scale but their are moving companies and other places that have scales. Look up public scales in your yellow pages.

Yeah I would go with getting her on the scales as well but it would not surprise me on bit if she tipped in at around 6200 lbs to 6500 lbs ready to drive down the road.

it will be more that that my 94 regular cab long bed 350 4X4 full of fuel is 6960 on the scale at a truck pull

I clocked in at 7200 pounds almost empty on fuel, and before I did my D60 swap.

I would imagine yours would be close to that!

Differet body styles change the weight it seems.

My truck is roughly 64-6500 pounds, since it's extended cab add a couple hundred due to frame and cab.

I'd be leaning towards the 7000 mark, my std cab weighs about 6800 with it's tool box and junk, full of fuel.

I've got an 84 too, except it's a crew cab. But same drive train and suspension, so it shouldn't be that much heavier.
Without any tools or people in it and about 3/4 full of fuel, it weighed about 7600. With me and tools and superfluous crap it's right at 8000. That's also including a fiberglass canopy; if the canopy is gone, the 5er hitch goes in it's place and weighs just about the same amount.
In comparison, my crew cab is over 1000 pounds heavier than Fordguy100's standard cab, which doesn't sound right.

The 84's will weigh a little less than the rest. They were a much more basic truck.
All the little goodies add up. Seats, soundproofing, electric windows, etc.

You also have to consider the scales you are using because when i hauled scrap I drove my truck across and i do not remember the #'s but I do remember there was almost 1000 lbs difference in weight on the same scale with the exact same things in the truck and the fuel levels within 1/8 tank the same. I asked the yard about this just for fun(I know the guy that runs it) and he said that most scales are not certified or checked out completely. It could be due to water that got trapped inside the scale due to clogged drains or parts wearing out. He explained that true weight did not really matter to them because you weigh in and out and they take the difference as scrap. I have also had a friend that was a driver weigh out on a certified scale and be 200 lbs under his limit and get stopped somewhere else and forced to weigh and be 100 lbs over. He showed me both tickets.

Well my single cab 91 weighed in at 7,000 without me in it at a dairy and a grain yard. Before d60 swap, toolbox and some random tools in it, maybe half tank, nothing substantial in the bed

Any wrecker should be able to tow it. I have had mine towed by a wheel lift tow truck that was an F350 and had it towed on a medium duty flatbed. I know my truck weighs more than yours and is higher also, so even if it was a flat bed their should not be a problem.
