Well new at this so please bare with me.
Looking to pickup a 5th wheel toy hauler but do not know how much "pin weight" a 94 F250 can take? Tag on the door jam shows 8800 GVWR. Rear axle is limited to the load weight of the tires 6084 GAWR. Thanks for the help.

What cab configuration do you have? Regular or Extended?

2x4 or 4x4?

What gear ratio is in the rear?

The reason I asked, is because you need to consider more than just the pin weight. You also need to consider the Gross Combined Weight Rating.

You must be registered for see images attach

1994 extended cab 2 wheel drive tow package.
Your right it’s the GCWR that I’m looking for as well. But I’m also trying to figure out how muck weight I can put in the bed too. I found on the registration that the unladen G/CGW (that’s exactly how it’s spelled) of 5272. It can’t be meaning the GCWR. All I can find is 1999 and up that shows 20k. I am so confused!

I could not find a 1994 towing guide, but did find one for 1995. According to it, the maximum gross combined weight for a SuperCab 4x2 with 3.55 gears is 16,000lbs. The same truck with 4.10 gears is 20,000lbs GCWR.

Maximum loaded trailer weight allowed is 9,600lbs for 3.55 gears and 12,500lbs for 4.10 gears.

Fifth wheel trailers usually carry around 20% of their weight on the pin. With a trailer gross weight of 9,600lbs, the pin weight would be around 1,920lbs. A trailer with a gross weight of 12,500lbs would have around 2,500lbs.

Hope this helps..
