Had my truck on the lift at work on saturday and my core support is smoked. i need one that has one in good shape (no rust, color doesnt matter) i would be greatful. it is a 88 F-350 with a 7.3, ZF 5 speed and A/C. no one lists one in any of the books or online i think i have the odd ball radiator size.

maybe if someone from eastern pa that is going to the rally could bring one up here i will be forever greatful and will pay whatever ya want to bring it back home so i can pick it up. i could paypal the seller and give the person who brings it up cash for fuel or whatever.

I have one from a '86, but I don't think it'll help you at all. I can see what I can find, but I'm on the West Coast...

I've got one that you're welcome to have if you have any way of getting it. I'm in Arkansas right on I-40 ( and could meet someone coming up I30 as well ). If anyone is going through this way to the ralley , maybe they could pick it up and take it there and someone else could take it from the ralley to PA ?

Shipping on those will not be cheap though. I sent one to somebody once and took a bath on the shipping. It ended up costing me money to give it to them. BOOB express is the way to go. If somebody can get it to me, I can get it to anthracite country. I'm thinking we are getting some from CA via IcanFixAll, but not sure you can wait until mid July. It IS possible to repair them as I learned in doing the Night Moose, but you need a Mig welder, some skill and patience.

LMC sells one for a 87-91 diesel w/o a/c for $189

I believe there were a few folks who had some problems a while back with those not really fitting the diesels and having to send them back. There are a few threads on that around here somewhere.

Sad, but yup.

Either gotta find a good used one or rebuild the old one with a new gasser top half.:dunno

I may have one but I'm not sure... Reason is that it's off of an 84 but - it was one of those conversions with a newer front end. I know that it was a diesel at one time (although it had been converted to a gasser). I bought it to attempt to replace the one on my 84 but have no idea if it would work. I compared it closely with the one on the truck and they are different. The first easy to spot difference is the depth of the "groove" for the battery cable. The spare one I have is much deeper than the original on the '84.

The spare does have a previous repair that looks like a 6 or 7 out of 10 (in my opinion they could have done a better job). I'll be happy to take pictures so you can see if it would work for you. Better still, I'm in MD so not too terribly far from you? I could maybe meet Mel at a "Jimmy-cone-type" outing :)

I still do need one for my '84 but, for all I know, the extra one I have won't even work for my truck.

Let me know.
