Viton O- rings

Any interest in viton rings, I have a supplier i can get them from. I was thinking of the injector o-rings and turbo pedestal, 093, o-rings.

probably add 5 bucks to the return kit.

whats the difference between the ones that come in your kit and the Viton? just quality/durability?

more chemical resistance, the heat rating is a little better. I am pretty sure the kits have buna-n which is standard industrial.

I think it will be worth it. I don't know for sure how long it will be(hopefully the near future) but I will be wanting one of your install kits and I wouldn't mind the extra 5 tacked on for the viton.

This is a really good idea. Viton seals are much better when elevated temperatures are involved. They virtually never get cooked and hardened.

Also viton orings are the thing you want if you use B100 like I do. Standard kit seems ok for a year or two if you don't have to work around the truck to the point where you bump the seals after they have seated, beyond that they dry rot.

defiantly a good idea, i will want them as soon as i get around to getting injectors just to much crap always comes up, and these trucks run to good on crap injectors to justify it to the woman.

My next time I have to disturb the things, I'd go for a set. Last time I tried to buy viton orings, I had to take a stab in the dark at the proper viton composition with all the choices available, and I guessed wrong. The ones I got were too hard and it was a miracle I didn't split the caps getting them on, I had to beat the snot out of them to do it. I fully expected to have to buy another kit, but I had to take them off not too many miles later for unrelated reasons and they didn't fare as well coming off( total destruction) that ended my viton experiment for a while. So a properly matched viton set will be a welcomed sight.

Is there even the slightest chance of getting a fat O ring out of Viton to replace the damn valley pan grommit? it seems that the grommit is not up to the task of staying soft and sealed once a turbocharger gets involved. I'm getting oil smell in the cab whenever I am stopped in traffic.

I checked and sure enough its hard and crusty even though its only a year old.

david, I actually looked at that and there werent any options. I may go another and see if they can be custom made, the ats ones are not any better, when they even have them.

I have a hydraulics supplier in town that doesn't mind helping with hard to find seals. Might have to ask them about it. They were very helpful when I needed to get a seal for the intake hat.
