vin locations

I was wondering if anyone had a list of all the locations where ford stamped the vin numbers on our trucks.

Supposed to be one on the frame, but I have yet to find it, stripped a few, I have.

hope you're not planning a vin switch. If any any vehicle that gets salvaged is put back on the road, an inspector for dmv is supposed to verify the vin in more than one location. You as an owner aire supposed to provide documentation from where you got any parts. Hell, in my state they ask for a title to the truck you made your pickup trailer from if you used a truck frame in your construction.

There are several. Some plated and some stamped. The official numbers are Not known by public to protect vin tampering.
Heck even having a county patrol vehicle in my yard, the guy for our local SCAR unit wouldn't allow me to watch him locate all the vin locations when I was getting Mater inspected.

I have a a complete 2wd idi drivetrain and frame without a cab and i have a good cab with a clean title that i plan on putting on the frame to get it on the road again.

Not sure how FL works it, but here in MI you'll need to get an assembled title for the cab swap to make it legal. Then they'll assign a new vin tag and number.

Nothing wrong with building a truck like you are as long as all the parts are legit.

I don't have the title for the truck frame itself but the cab i have is in my name. I may just buy an f150 to put it all in, i really need a spare vehicle that's why i wanted to just toss a cab on the frame i have.
